Summer is all about getting outside, staying active, and making memories—and that’s exactly what campers experience at Backyard Sports Camp.
Held Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Outdoor Turf Pavilion at the Round Rock Sports Center, Backyard Sports Camp is designed to keep kids moving, laughing, and making new friends in a fun, supportive environment.
A Different Adventure Every Day
No two camp days are the same. Campers rotate through a variety of sports and group games that encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence while keeping everyone engaged.

- Dodgeball
- Kickball
- Wiffle Ball
- Football
- Soccer
- Handball
Whether your child is an experienced athlete or simply enjoys playing with friends, there’s something for everyone. Our goal is to create an environment where kids can have fun, stay active, and build confidence through play.
Classic Camp Games Kids Never Get Tired Of
Beyond traditional sports, campers enjoy timeless camp favorites that keep the energy high all morning long. Games like Sharks and Minnows, Ships and Sailors, Freeze Tag, and Capture the Flag encourage teamwork, quick thinking, and lots of laughter.
These activities help campers connect with one another while creating the kind of summer memories they’ll talk about long after camp ends.
New Week, New Friends
One of the best parts of Backyard Sports Camp is the opportunity to meet new people. Every week brings a new group of campers, giving kids the chance to build friendships, practice teamwork, and become part of a welcoming community.
For many campers, the friendships they make become just as memorable as the games they play.
Thursday Is Water Day!
Ask any camper what their favorite day of the week is, and you’ll probably hear the same answer, Water Day!
Water Day is the perfect way to wrap up an exciting week of camp. Campers cool off with fun activities like:
- Water balloon fights
- Duck, Duck, Goose (with a bucket of water being poured on the goose!)
- Sponge relay races
It’s the perfect combination of friendly competition, outdoor fun, and staying cool during the Texas summer.
Every Camper Gets a Camp Shirt
Each camper receives a Backyard Sports Camp T-shirt every week they attend, a fun keepsake to remember an amazing week of camp and show off their camp pride.
