Strength and Conditioning

Our Strength and Conditioning programs take place on the turf field underneath our Pavilion at the Round Rock Sports Center.  We currently offer classes for ages 7-14. These programs are designed to measure and improve fitness and athleticism of children and young athletes over a 8-10 week period.   • Strength & Conditioning - Winter 2020

    Strength & Conditioning (9-14 years old) ($169)
    Mondays; 5:30-6:30 pm

    STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH: ALLIE STANLEY

    The Round Rock Sports Center is pleased to offer Strength & Conditioning programs for young athletes, ages 9-14.

    Areas of focus include:
    -Reaction Times
    -Sprint Times
    -Lateral Quickness
    -Muscle Endurance

    This program is available to young athletes ages 9-14 and will focus on introducing kids to proper running form along with speed and agility drills designed for younger athletes to improve reaction times and overall quickness. Classes will be held outside, proper attire for the elements is highly recommended. If a class should be canceled for inclement weather, you will be informed of the cancellation and a make-up class will be scheduled.

    All sales are final and refunds will not be given.

    Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30 pm

    Our functional fitness program is a once per week class designed to help children, ages 7-10, develop proper fitness techniques by simulating movements commonly used in sports and general fitness settings.  Movements such as squatting, pushing, and pulling will be integrated in each session with a focus on making fitness fun and exciting!

    Also included in the program will be nutritional tips to combine fitness with good eating habits to promote an overall healthy lifestyle.

    Classes will be held outside on our covered turf field and participants should dress appropriately.

    Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 pm

    Strength & Conditioning - Learn to Train

    March 24 – May 28, 2020  ($249)
    Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30-7:30p

    Our Learn to Train program is twice per week training, designed for young athletes ages 10-14, that involves a wide range of exercises developed to focus on a young athlete’s stability, strength, endurance, speed, mobility, agility, and performance.

    Participants will learn proper fitness, weightlifting, and running techniques that will build proper muscle memory, thus increasing their overall athleticism.  General nutrition information will be incorporated into the program to educate participants on foods that can help in muscle building, muscle recovery, and overall health.
