– Improved explosiveness for impact hitting and defense
– Training the twitch muscles to help change direction quickly and efficiently to react to situations on the court
– Strengthen core muscles to gain improvements on the court
– Train proper use of body and technique to reach the full potential of your athlete

Shara Ward-Cavil

Specialty: Strength & Conditioning, Volleyball

Coach Shara Ward-Cavil is a Beaumont, TX native, and alum of Lamar University. Coach Ward earned a scholarship to play college Volleyball and is using  her experience, love and passion for the game to train and develop the next generation of athletes. She is currently the Assistant Director at Max Performance Volleyball Club and Assistant Volleyball Coach at East View High School. 

Coach Ward has coached Club Volleyball for over 15 years and is excited to bring her knowledge and energy to the program.  She is passionate about building strong athletes who are confident, inspired and empowered to develop skills that will help them to be successful on and off the court.  Coach Ward coaches with passion, intensity, and with a standard of doing things correctly, with pride. Learning how to compete, self-discipline, accountability, focus, and a team-first mentality are standards she sets for all of her athletes. She is looking forward to making an impact this season.
