Youth Sports Training

Does your son or daughter want to try a new sport? Maybe they want to develop current skills or enhance game play in their favorite sport? Look no further than the Round Rock Sports Center, a premier sports training facility of Central Texas!

In our training programs, professional coaches aim to develop foundational skills and build upon current skills in order to elevate each athlete’s performance and confidence. We offer basketball, volleyball and strength and conditioning. All of our sports programs are co-ed, offered year round and average 9 training sessions per season. Most programs meet once per week for 1 or 1.5 hours. In all of our programs, athletes will be evaluated during the first class and then split into skill & age-appropriate training groups to maximize session effectiveness.

Basketball Training

Each season, we offer both small group and academy size basketball classes in various skill levels, so you can decide the best fit for your athlete.

Small Group Training
  • Sessions are capped at 9 athletes
Academy Training

We offer three training levels in our basketball portfolio. Jr Rookie, Rookie and Developmental. Each class curriculum is based on the age and skill level of athletes.

Jr. Rookie & Rookie Training

Your athlete will develop, and improve while working with an experienced coaching staff.  Each athlete will develop new skills and improve their playing ability through drill work and consistent repetition on the fundamental skills of the game of basketball. In this program, participants will benefit from a high volume of skill repetition to maximize the effectiveness of the training for each athlete.

Jr. Rookie Skill Level

Developmental Training

This program will refine and improve skills with the end goal of preparing the participants for Select or School team seasons after a couple of seasons in the program. Your athlete will advance foundational skills, develop new skills and improve their playing ability through drill work and gamedays. Over three gamedays, athletes will participate in full-court games (think inner-squad scrimmage). These contests will help athletes better apply the skills they have developed, compete in a team setting and equip each athlete with a more thorough understanding of a game-day environment.

Developmental Skill Level
  • Ages 10-14
  • Athletes who are capable of performing basic basketball skills (dribbling, shooting, passing) with little-to-no hesitation or trouble.  Generally, these are young athletes with several years of Recreational playing experience or are new to Select or School teams that play competitively.

Volleyball Training

If you are looking to build a strong foundation of volleyball fundamentals, this is the training academy for your athlete. Your athlete will develop, improve, and advance while working with our experienced coaching staff. Each athlete will develop new skills and improve their playing ability through drill work along with small-sided scrimmages to help players better understand the concepts that they are taught each week.
